SBF-VISA Group

SBF was started in 1952 by Italo Frison in Padua, Italy. SBF initially built children's rides, but branched into thrill rides in the 1990s. The second generation of the Frison family, cousins Vittorio and Sandro, established VISA International in 1990, named after the first initials in their names. SBF and VISA merged to form the SBF-VISA Group in 2000. The company began building roller coasters in the early 2000s, but soon became one of the largest sellers of small, portable coasters. VISA delivered its 700th Family Coaster in 2023, and established a division called VISACOASTERS. Their Compact Spinning Coaster (Models MX608, MX609, and MX612) is one of the most copied roller coaster designs ever. In just its first two years of production, SBF sold 50 Compact Spinning Coasters! As of 2021, 300 spinning coaster had been delivered. The company remains based in Italy and the third generation of the Frison family now holds a variety of jobs in the company.
