Schloß Beck Freizeitpark
Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Schloß Beck Freizeitpark means Beck Castle Amusement Park in English.
The centerpiece of the small park is a Baroque castle built by Johann Conrad Schlaun between
1766 and 1777. Though it was built to be a palatial residence, it fell into disrepair in
the 1900s. It was purchased by Karl Kuchenbäcker in 1966. The castle
has been slowly restored over the last 40 years. The area around the castle
has become a children's theme park with a small collection of rides.
