Freizeit-Land Geiselwind

Geiselwind, or "Whip Wind" in English, is a small market town in Lower Franconia in Southern Germany. Freizeit-Land means "Liesure-Land" in English, but the park opened in 1969 as Vogel-Pony-Märchen-Park, or "Bird-Pony-Fairy Tale-Park." Ernst Mensinger first opened the park because he wanted to share his rare and exotic birds. While Freizeit-Land Geiselwind still has a variety of birds and animals today, rides appeared first in 1989. The collection of thrill rides and coasters seems to vary constantly as rides are added and removed nearly every year. Cobra, an Interpark Wild Wind model, is expected to open in 2015.

Four coasters have left Freizeit-Land Geiselwind:

Black Hole was here only for the 2014 season. Built in 1986 by Zierer, it has travelled extensively through Europe. Most of the ride occurred inside a dome.
Marienkäferbahn (1989-2008) was a large Tivoli model from Zierer. "Ladybug Coaster" in English, it originally was Marienkäferbahn at Movie Park Germany from 1979 to 1985.
Wilde Maus operated only in 2011. This Wilde Maus Compact model from Mack Rides also has been to a variety of European parks
