I adhered to Lagoon's prohibition against photography on the roller coasters, but I was amazed at how many people had their cell phones out during their rides. In this shot, and the previous picture, you can see a phone out in the front seat. Besides being against the rules, there are several problems with this. First of all, taking video and pictures from a fast-moving coaster is usually a waste of time. Because of the train's speed, vibration, and high G-forces, nearly all pictures and video taken from a coaster is a blurry mess. Secondly, the risk of losing your camera or phone is pretty great. I have seen several phones fly off coasters and get smashed to pieces. Worse yet, a loose object flying away and hitting another rider is a real possibility. I once had to give testimony in a lawsuit where a passenger on a roller coaster got hit by a loose object. Trust me... you don't want to be involved in something like this!
