Motor World
Virginia Beach,
Virginia
Motor World is home to 11 go-kart tracks, paintball fields, mini-golf, a Skycoaster, and one
small kiddie coaster. The park opened in 1988 and expanded in 2000 when the Lazarus family from Myrtle Beach, South
Carolina took over the operation.
Rain, late ride deliveries, and other problems caused three new coasters
to quickly leave the park:
- Crazy Mouse (2000-2001) was a Reverchon spinning coaster. It was
last seen traveling to various fairs and carnivals on the portable ride
circuit.
- Wacky Worm (2000-2001) was a Wacky Worm model built by the El Salvadoran
company Fajume S.A. de C.V.
- Wild Wind (2000-2000) was a compact Wild Wind model built by Interpark.
It also was set up at Playland Park and Keansburg Amusement Park, yet it
never operated at any location! It is rumored that the g-forces were too
strong and it never opened to the public.
