Hoffman's Playland
Latham, New York

     Hoffman's Playland, located near Albany, New York, opened in 1952.  The park was located on Route 9 which used to be the major north-south road through this section of New York.  There were nearly twenty small kiddie rides in the park.  After 62 seasons, the Hoffman family permanently closed the park in September 2014.  The park's rides were scheduled to be auctioned off, but now the family is weighing some offers to purchase the park.
