Lightning Racer

It's sometimes hard to make sense of all this tangled track!  You're racing, then you're dueling, then you're racing, then you're dueling.  It is a little confusing, but it is a lot of fun!

It is interesting to note how much this area of the park has changed since I took this picture.  The green grassy area is now full of water activities as The Boardwalk at Hersheypark has expanded since it opened in 2007.  New water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and surfboard riding areas are now here.   And while I am happy to see new stuff, I am sad that the unusual Roller Soaker was removed.  It wasn't the most exciting ride, but I loved the idea of an interactive coaster where riders could drop water on bystanders, and the bystanders could shoot water back at the coaster!
