Greased Lightnin'

This Schwarzkopf shuttle loop opened as Tidal Wave in 1978. It was renamed and rethemed in 1999. After serving over 30 million passengers in its twenty-five years of operation, Greased Lightnin' was removed from Paramount's Great America in 2002.

When the ride left Great America, it was shipped to Six Flags Marine World, but it never was reassembled. For several years, it remained there in storage. In 2006, some parts were shipped to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom where they were used for spares on their shuttle loop named Greased Lightnin'.
