In 1997, John Arie, Sr. opened the
Fun Spot Action Park in Orlando, Florida, the park
currently called Fun Spot America. About a decade later,
the Arie family opened this park and called it Fun Spot USA, and later renamed it Fun Spot America. The family later acquired the
Fun Spot America Atlanta park, the property formerly called
Dixieland Fun Park, and
Fun Junction USA, in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Fun Spot Kissimmee still has free admission and free parking, features a variety of thrill rides, multiple go-kart tracks, and
the world's tallest Sky Coaster. A few years ago, the park expanded even more by taking over the operations of the rides at the adjacent
Old Town shopping complex.
