SeaWorld Orlando is a 200-acre park that has shows, rides, and animal encounters. The park used to be primarily known for Shamu the killer whale, dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, penguins, sharks, a variety of animal shows, but the park's focus is now less on the animals and more on the rides. The park, which was the third of the four SeaWorld parks in the Unted States, opened in 1973. It was sold to Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in 1977, and to Busch Entertainment Corporation, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch, in 1989. After InBev purchased Anheuser-Busch in 2008, they sold their amusement parks off to the Blackstone Group for $2.7 billion. All of the references to Busch Beer and the Clydesdale horses were removed from the park. The new company soon became the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Company. SeaWorld Orlando is located next to Discovery Cove and the Aquatica waterpark.
