Owned by the Bertch family, the owners of Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing, The Lost Island Waterpark opened in 2001.
The family expanded its operations when the 90-acre Lost Island Theme Park opened in 2022. A large lake was also created next to the new theme park. At the present time, the water park and amusement park are physically
separated and require guests to drive from one park to the other. The theme park has a complicated back-story with five unique realms, each with
its own architecture and characters. The park has five themed areas: Tamariki (Spirit), Udara (Air), Awa (Water), Mura (Fire), and
Yuta (Earth). It is common to see the Tamariki, the park's mascots, walking around and giving performances throughout the park.
Fire Runner, a Single Rail coaster from Rocky Mountain Construction, is expected to open in 2025.
