Suzuka Circuit

Soichiro Honda, founder of Honda Motors, decided to open a permanent test track for Honda cars and motorcycles in the Mie prefecture. Situated between Kyoto and Nagoya, the track opened in 1962. The Grand Prix circuit is now 5.8 kilometers (3.6 miles) long, features eighteen turns, and has hosted many races including Formula One and a wide variety of motorcycle events. After the track opened, the area to its north was developed, and a camp and amusement park were added.
Two coasters have left the park:
