Big Thunder Mountain
I have been on three of Disney's four Big Thunder Mountain roller coasters. I don't think I have a favorite of the three rides because they are all very similar.
I often get asked, "What is your favorite roller coaster?" I really don't have one favorite. There are a handful of coasters that I love, and a number that I hate (I am thinking of those rough Boomerangs), but after riding over 1,000 roller coasters, I can't really say which is the best. There are many factors that change how a ride behaves. A recent rain, a cold snap, a strong wind, an early morning, an empty train all slow a train on a coaster, thereby making it a little more mild. And then my personal mood might change my impressions. A hot afternoon, a ride at the end of a long day, a trip on a coaster after a big meal, or a lengthy wait in the queue all might change my enjoyment of an amusement park's coaster. And then, there is my memory. If I ride a coaster today, can I honestly compare it to single ride I had on a coaster a decade ago? I could probably come up with a Top 10 or Top 20 List of the best roller coasters, but please don't ask me to rank them in any order!
I can't claim credit for coming up with the following answer, but I think it is true. When asked what is the best roller coaster, my answer is... "The best coaster is the one I am riding on right now!"
