Kawasemi
This train is about to go down the first hill. If you look carefully within the track, you will see large circular objects positioned just below the top rails of the track. These are a few of the multitude of pulleys used by the cable that lifts trains up this hill. The electric motor and winch that controls the cable are located at ground level way off to the right side of this image. When lifting trains upward, the winch pulls the threaded-steel cable downward. The collection of pulleys allows the cable to follow the curve at the top of the hill.
