Do-Dodonpa

Dodonpa's name is derived from the drumming heard in the loading station and in the launch area right before trains are accelerated out of the station.  A repetitive three-beat phrase made by taiko drums is the ride's signature sound.  When the ride was modified in 2016 and 2017, the extra syllable was added to the coaster's name to make it Do-dodonpa.
