Do-Dodonpa

The sign reads "Dododonpacken," a mix of the coaster's name and the sound of cracking a peach. This is a reference to Momotarō (桃太郎), the "Peach Boy" story that has been popular in Japanese folklore for several hundred years. The two other letters on the sign show that the coaster is sponsored by the Japanese mobile carrier known as "au." It is the second-largest wireless carrier in Japan, but there are just a few subtle company logos around the coaster.
