Ferris Wheels are incredibly popular in Japan. In most of the world, Ferris Wheels are mostly found in amusement parks, but not in Japan. Throughout the country, there are plenty of examples of stand-alone wheels. In fact, many Japanese cities have a large Ferris Wheel near a river, ocean bay, or botanical park. I have even seen wheels on top of department stores and on the side of shopping malls.
