Even though there are no inversions on this ride, and despite the fact that there is little airtime, each seat is equipped with a shoulder harness and a lap belt.
Electrical power is required to release the harnesses. Brass contacts under the trains pick up power when the train is in the station, but if the train stops somewhere other than in the station, ride operators can use portable batteries that plug into the trains in order to release the restraints.
