Superman the Ride
In the first decade of operation, the trains on this ride have gone through a multitude of changes. The original restraints had one metal pole running between riders' legs that went from the train's floor up to the lap restraint. In 2004, metal bars were installed on the sides of this pole to encase the riders' legs and feet. About the same time, seat belts were added to ensure that the "T-Bar" restraint was in the correct position. A few years later, the belts were removed and replaced by a computer system that monitored the restraints to ensure they were in the locked position.
In 2009, the center bar between riders' legs was removed, leaving the two exterior poles. Also, seat belts were added once again.
