Paragon Park closed permanently in 1984. The roller coaster was purchased and relocated to Maryland. The only other significant item saved was the 1928 PTC carousel. A local preservation committee purchased it, and the merry-go-round reopened in 1996 on Wharf Avenue in Hull, Massachusetts.
