Premier Rides built five of these "Mad Cobra" coasters between 1996 and 1999. This one opened in 1999. Besides this one, the others are: Crazy Cobra at Discoverland in China (formerly Mad Cobra at Suzuka Circuit in Japan), Flight of Fear (formerly Outer Limits: Flight of Fear) at Kings Island, Flight of Fear (formerly Outer Limits: Flight of Fear) at Kings Dominion, and Poltergeist at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
