Woodstock Express

The name-plate on the back of each car shows that Vekoma built the train about six months before the coaster opened in Ohio.  Vekoma started in The Netherlands in the 1920s.  Originally called the Veld Koning Machinefabriek company, it first built farm and mining equipment.  The company decided to shorten its name by combining the first two letters of each of the three words in the original name into the single word Vekoma.  It started building roller coasters in the 1970s.
