Top Thrill Dragster
Here is a look at the complex wheel assembly that attaches this car to the track. The main wheels are blue and are rigidly mounted to the metal wheel fixture. The brown up-stop wheels are mounted on a hinge that allows them to slightly change their distance from the blue wheels. This is required to allow the wheels to stay firmly attached to the track as the car passes over both straight and curved track segments. The grey side-wheels also have a hinge to allow a tiny amount of movement from side to side. White plastic zip-ties can be seen wrapped around rubber pads that dampen the movement of these grey wheels.
