Linnanmäki
Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland
Situated on a hill overlooking Helsinki, Linnanmäki can be translated as "Castle Hill" in English. The park opened
in 1950, but the Karuselli carousel was built in 1896. Linnanmäki is
maintained by Lasten Päivän Säätiö, the Children's Day Foundation. Over the last 60 years, the Foundation has donated over EUR 73 million to
support child welfare in Finland.
Two coasters have left the park: Katapult was a Schwarzkopf Katapult loop that was there in 1992 and 1993. There was
also a small Kiddie Roller Coaster that operated from 1971 to 1989.
