Coastersaurus
I am always amazed at the amount of work required to build, and then to maintain, a wood roller coaster. Here is just a small segment of Coastersaurus's structure, yet it shows a variety of sizes of wood beams, several different construction techniques, and multiple methods of fastening the pieces together. Modern pressure-treated wood may last longer than the lumber used in the past, but the climate in Florida will take its toll on this coaster, and pieces of it will have to be repaired and replaced in the next few years.
