Space Mountain
The next time you ride Space Mountain, try to notice the straight and level sections of track.  It seems like the ride dips and turns for about six to eight seconds, then goes straight for a few seconds as it passes the block brakes.  This sequence happens many times, but it is masked by the coaster's special effects and lack of illumination.  I think there are at least a half dozen block brakes on the ride.  If this were a conventional coaster where lights or sunshine made the track visible, it would be much more obvious.  The ride's dark track and the near darkness inside the dome make the track nearly invisible so the brakes sections aren't too noticeable.
