On June 21, 1995, Disney announced that they would build their fourth and largest Florida park. Michael Eisner
described the park as "based on mankind's enduring love for animals and celebrating all animals that ever or never existed." This unique park is a
combination of an amusement park and a zoo. It has thrill rides, wonderful animal encounters, lots of shows and movies, and a fantastic safari. The
huge park has been growing since its opening in April 1998. The Asia area of the park opened in 1999, and the Pandora - The World of Avatar opened in 2017.
Depending on how you classify Primeval Whirl, either one roller coaster or two roller coasters have been removed from Animal Kingdom. From 2002 to 2020,
Primeval Whirl was two side-by-side spinning Wild Mouse coasters.
