Steel Force
The generally accepted definition of Hypercoaster is a continuous-circuit roller coaster with a height or drop greater than 200 feet. The first Hypercoaster opened in 1989. Steel Force was the seventh Hypercoaster. As of 2012, there are 40 Hypercoasters in operation worldwide. However, six of these are over 300 feet tall and are occasionally referred to as Giga Coasters or Strata Coasters.
