Cobra's Curse
The coaster gets started with a 70-foot-tall elevator lift. The short trains are anchored to a segment of track that is hoisted up to the top of the lift.
There are actually two different movable elements on this elevator lift. When stationary, one is at the top of the lift and one is at the bottom. When in these positions, the two segments are directly above and below each other. In order for the two to exchange positions, the vertical tracks on either side of the elevator diverge in the middle of the tower. While the trains are being lifted, the elevator moves slightly to the left as it starts to climb the tower. At the same time, the descending lift moves slightly to the right. Once the two moving segments pass each other, the tracks return to the centerline. In this picture, the descending segment has just passed the train climbing the lift. The empty track is just to the right of and below the ascending train.
