Space Mountain

Space Mountain closed in April 2009 for a major renovation.  New coaster track was installed, but the layout is nearly identical to the original design.  New trains were also added.  The most noticeable change to the trains was the long luminescent stripes on the original trains were missing from the new version.  The first trains were white with a glowing stripe, so they were easy to spot inside the dark ride.  The present trains are painted with dark blue and grey colors, so they are much harder to see when running on the course.  Also in 2009, the waiting queue was updated, and the mountain's ceiling was renovated.  The coaster reopened at the end of the year.
