Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

This roller coaster and mountain were built and designed by WED, Disney's engineering division named after Walter Elias Disney.  Founded in 1952, the group is now called Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development, Incorporated.  The term Imagineering was not coined by Disney.  It was used by a few companies before Disney started to frequently use it in the 1960s.  The Disney Corporation first tried to trademark the term in 1989.
