Dragon Challenge

For its first decade of operation, these trains on the two coaster's tracks were dispatched out of the station at the same time.  As the trains left the loading platform, strain-gauges embedded within the track supports measured each train's weight.  As a train climbed up its respective lift hill, the speed of the chain lift was adjusted so that each train reached the top in the correct position in relation to the other train.  If one train was noticeably heavier than the other, it would climb up the hill at a slower rate so as to reach the top of the hill a few seconds later than the lighter train.  This staggering ensured that the trains would meet in three locations.  This was the first encounter as the red train passed over the blue train's zero-g roll.
