Green Lantern

The Green Lantern roller coaster opened in Six Flags Great Adventure in May 2011.  It's opening corresponded with the debut of the "Green Lantern" movie made by Warner Bros.  Starring Ryan Reynolds, the film opened just one month after the coaster.  The film was a box-office failure as it only took in $116 million domestically, not enough to cover the $200 million it cost to make.  The movie also received mostly negative reviews from critics.
