El Toro
This picture was taken a little over a decade after the previous picture. The view changed a lot between 1999 and 2007, but not a lot has changed between 2007 and this picture. Rolling Thunder is gone, and a little bit of the orange, circular El Diablo is seen behind El Toro's structure. Built by Larson International, El Diablo is a circular ride that has a train which goes back and forth in a 360° loop. Larson makes a variety of these rides and markets them under Fire Ball, Super Loops, Ring of Fire, and Giant Loop names. While Six Flags refers to their Larson rides as roller coasters, I don't agree, and most coaster enthusiasts feel the same. I believe the majority of coaster fans consider these as "Flat Rides" and not coasters because they do not coast. The train is powered the whole way around its loop and never once simply coasts in the circle. I know that there is a debate as to what a roller coaster is, but I don't consider Larson loops or other rides that are powered all of the time as roller coasters, so I don't document them on CoasterGallery.com.
