Rolling Thunder

Designed by William Cobb and Don Rosser, Rolling Thunder was built by Great Adventure in 1979.  It was torn down soon after its last operating days in September 2013. William Cobb & Associates is credited with designing these 11 wooden roller coasters:

• Anaconda (1989-present) at Walygator Park in France
• Cyclone, formerly Riverside Cyclone (1983-2014) at Six Flags New England in Massachusetts - converted to the Wicked Cyclone steel coaster
• Great American Scream Machine (1973-present) at Six Flags Over Georgia in Georgia
• Judge Roy Scream (1980-present) at Six Flags Over Texas in Texas
• Le Monstre (1985-present) at La Ronde in Quebec, Canada
• Roller Coaster (1989-present) at Upper Clements Park in Nova Scotia, Canada
• Rolling Thunder (1979-2013) at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey
• Screamin' Eagle (1976-present) at Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri
• Sierra Tonante (1992-2007) at Mirabilandia in Italy
• Texas Cyclone (1976-2005) at Six Flags AstroWorld in Texas
• Tornado (1978-present) at Adventureland in Iowa
