El Toro

Here is another look at that wonderful 76° drop.

It is amazing that both of these coasters were built by the same company.   Since being created in 1967, Intamin has built over 160 roller coasters.  El Toro and Kingda Ka are two examples of their work, but the rides have different construction materials, different propulsion methods, and different ride vehicles.  The wooden coaster travels a long way and provides multiple doses of negative g's, while the steel coaster is all about setting a record for height and speed, but does little else.  Both rides are very enjoyable, but provide vastly different experiences.
