Drachen Fire

Drachen Fire was built by Arrow Dynamics in 1992.   It originally had six inversions, but one inversion was removed after the 1994 season.  The ride closed in mid-1998.  No official reason for the closure was given, but some people believe roughness, maintenance problems, and poor park location were to blame.  Drachen Fire was listed for sale ($4.5 million) for several years, but no one was willing to buy it.  The coaster was demolished in January and February 2002.  I never had the opportunity to ride this coaster, so I can't tell you want it was like.

Since the part of the park containing Drachen Fire had been closed to the public since 1998, this is the only picture I have of it.  Sorry!
