Big Bad Wolf

This suspended coaster from Arrow Dynamics was built in 1984.  It had 2,800 feet of track and this great drop over the water.  The coaster's second lift hill occurred right before this big drop toward the water.

The coaster was removed from the park after the end of the 2009 season.  After 25 years of operation, the coaster was going to require significant structural and maintenance work to continue operating, so the decision was made to remove the ride.  In 2012, Verbolten opened with a similar drop in this location.  In fact, the new coaster reused many of the foundations that Big Bad Wolf used in this picture.
