Michigan's Adventure
Muskegon, Michigan
Located just a few miles from Lake Michigan, this park started its existence in 1957 as Deer Park Funland. During the 1960s, it was mostly a petting zoo with just a few rides. In 1968, the park was purchased by Roger Jourden. As time went on, Michigan's Adventure (the name changed in 1988) added several large rides as well as a water park. In June 2001, Cedar Fair, LP purchased Michigan's Adventure. The park has a total of 33 rides, while the water park has 23 attractions and slides. It is the largest amusement park in Michigan.
For 2008, the Vekoma SLC Thunderhawk will be moved from Geauga Lake to Michigan's Adventure.
