Halfway through the ride, trains enter a tunnel under the station. In this picture, the train at the top has been stopped and is waiting to enter the station while the train at the bottom is making a right turn and is rapidly approaching the 400-foot-long tunnel. Once in the tunnel, trains are briefly slowed. Then the second set of Linear Synchronous Motors gets a jolt of electricity and propels the train up to about 70 miles per hour.
