Jack Rabbit is one of nearly 140 roller coasters designed by John A. Miller. Born in 1872 as August John Mueller, he patented over 100 roller coaster components and created many ground-breaking roller coaster design features. In 1919, he patented the "Miller Under Friction Wheel," the "upstop wheel" that locks the roller coaster onto the track. These wheels are used on almost every roller coaster built in the last 80 years!
