Inside of this volcano, trains complete nearly two 360-degree turns before dropping down into a tunnel. The tunnel's exit is visible on the lower right.
The ride has gone through some changes since it opened three decades ago. Until 2006, only a steel framework surrounded the two turns inside the fake volcano. The brown facade was added in 2006. And when the ride opened, there was a steel-frame structure beside and above the track between the two tunnels. I believe that the waterfalls were going to be placed in this structure, but it never happened. The structure was ultimately removed without ever being completed.
