The original plan for this roller coaster was extremely ambitious. Concept art had the trains passing through a volcano and journeying past a large waterfall. There was even talk about having a small-scale reproduction of Niagara Falls for the trains to pass by. When the ride opened in 1983, the only theming was this dragon's head in front of the entrance. Marineland's budget would not allow for the additional elements around the ride.
