Log flume vehicles typically have sets of wheels on the bottom in order to go up the lifts and down the drops. They also have sets of wheels on the sides of the logs in order for boats to track properly inside of the water troughs. But since the logs on the Big Timber Log Ride have to negotiate turns while on the track, the wheels caster and can make the change of direction right before this final drop into the water.
