On February 11, 2010, much of the original coaster collapsed during as the ride was being dismantled, but this didn't really harm the relocation process since most of the wood was known to be unsalvageable even before the old ride was torn down. Since the original Zippin Pippin in Tennessee had been sitting dormant for several years after the park closed, this support structure was made of new materials when it was built in Wisconsin.
