It is extremely challenging to build a roller coaster on top of a mountain. A good deal of rock had to be blasted out of the way in order to make a flat spot on which to construct the ride. And even after the concrete base was poured, it was nearly impossible to find clear, flat spaces in which a crane could be positioned. And if the topography wasn't enough, the challenging Colorado mountaintop weather upped the difficulty factor. But despite the challenges, the great people of Glenwood pulled it off and now have one of the most dramatic locations I have ever seen for a thrill ride!
