Sea World
Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
Founded in 1958, this park was originally known as the
Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens. It took the name Sea World in 1972 when
it added dolphins, marine displays and a swimming pool. A decade later, it
further expanded by purchasing a competitor marine park, Marineland. Just
one coaster has left the park: Wild Wave Rollercoaster, also called
Thrillseeker, was an SDC Zyklon that ran from 1982 to 2002.
