Swamp Fox

John C. Allen (May 21, 1907 - August 17, 1979) designed over two dozen coasters and made significant contributions to roller coaster technology.  Swamp Fox, opened in 1966, was one of his rides that helped revive and popularize wooden roller coasters in the 1960s and 1970s.
