Road Runner Express
Road Runner Express sits in the Bugs Bunny World section of the park. It features the Road Runner and Wile
E. Coyote characters. When this ride opened in 2011, there was talk of
Magic Mountain adding five new roller coasters
that year, but that was a dubious claim. There were five new roller coaster names, but
only one new coaster was built. This ride was relocated from another park,
Apocalypse was simply a
renaming of Terminator,
Superman: Escape from Krypton was a slight
modification and name change from the old Superman: Escape from Krypton, and
Magic Flyer was just the former Percy's Railway after the
Thomas the Tank Engine theme had been removed. The only new coaster that opened in 2011 was
the Green Lantern roller coaster.
