In the early 1990s, Kent and Dawn Buescher used this land as a horse farm.  In 1996, it opened to the public as a petting zoo.  After a couple of years, the zoo added some small rides.  The amusement park has greatly expanded in the last 20 years, but the park still has an impressive amount of animals.  Wild Adventures has over 50 different species of animals on exhibit.  There are several animal shows and live feeding opportunities.  One of the most impressive is the Tigers of India show which allows an up-close look at tigers and their interactions with the zookeepers.
